ATS Online

Online Access to the Journal

The free trial period of The Annals of Thoracic Surgery (ATS) is now over. Only individuals who are paid subscribers to the ATS or members of The Society for Thoracic Surgeons and The Southern Thoracic Surgical Association will be able to access the journal online. However, access to tables of contents and abstracts and the ability to search full text is available to the public.

Getting Started

To view the full text articles in the ATS, you will need your CTSNet User ID and Password and a current print/online subscription. Obtain your CTSNet User ID and Password. If possible, have your ATS Subscriber Number available (this can be found on the mailing label of your journal). If you are an STS or STSA member, have your six-digit member number available.

Access for Institutional Subscribers

Readers with Institutional Subscriptions to the print version of ATS do not have access to the CTSNet online version. Institutional subscriptions in electronic format are available only if an institution subscribes to Elsevier's ScienceDirect and ATS is included under that institution's licensing agreement with ScienceDirect. To determine if this is the case, go to www.sciencedirect.com. If you are within your institution's computer network and the groupwide login is green, then you have access to ScienceDirect. If not, please contact your librarian and let him or her know of your interest.

When you subscribe to the ATS, you will receive the journal in both the print and online forms.

Change of Mailing Address for the print journal

For STS member subscriptions, send email to sts{at}sts.org.For STSA member subscriptions, send email to stsa{at}stsa.org. Include your member number, OLD ADDRESS and new address. Please allow 8 weeks for the change of address to take effect.

For nonmember subscriptions, send email to journalscustomerservice-usa{at}elsevier.com and include the journal title, your subscription number, OLD ADDRESS and new address. Please allow 8 weeks for the change of address to take effect.

Report of Missing Issues for the print journal

For member subscriptions, send email to l.arbogast{at}elsevier.com and include your member number and missed issue volume and number. Please allow 8 weeks for receipt of the replacement issue.

For institutional and nonmember subscriptions, send email to journalscustomerservice-usa{at}elsevier.com and include the journal title, your subscriber number and missed issue volume and number. Please allow 8 weeks for receipt of the replacement issue.
