To the Editor:
I have read with great interest the article written by Likosky and colleagues [1]. I commend the authors on their regional series and midterm follow-up and agree with their conclusions as I have had similar experiences in the past with our redo coronary artery bypass graft patients in terms of perioperative morbidity and mortality. The perioperative mortality is caused by low cardiac output syndrome secondary to myocardial ischemia due to myocardial infarction or inadequate revascularization.
