With regard to this article published in the January issue of The Annals, we have discovered that an error has been made in the labeling of the axes in Figure 2 and that errors were made in the legends of Figures 3 and 4. Although these are relatively minor errors, we would be grateful for your help in pointing out these mistakes to the readership, if possible.
In Figure 2, the axes should read CBF (% change) and VMCA (% change) for both A and B, rather than CBF (ml/100g/min) and VMCA (cm/sec) as they are at present.
In Figures 3 and 4, we have transposed the legends for the lines of the pH-stat and alpha-stat patients. Consequently, these should be "The dotted line represents the regression line for the pH-stat patients ...The solid line represents the regression line for the alpha-stat patients ... "
