DR ALAN G. CASSON (Toronto, Ont, Canada): You are targeting these cells at the RNA level, yet you are looking at the protein product for response. Did you look at the RNA transcript with Northern analysis, for example, to see whether the RNA effect is truly down-regulated at that level?
DR ROBINSON: As yet, we have not examined mRNA levels of the target genes by Northern blot analysis. However, this is important information that we plan to obtain soon to document the sequence-specific effects of our antisense oligodeoxyribonucleotides.
DR CASSON: I enjoyed the paper. It is early work, and I think the last slide summarizes the vast amount of information that we do not yet know.
