Mr Sarsam [1] reported a technique for determining the length of artificial chordae in mitral valve repair. The precise technique and a nearly identical illustration were provided by Dr Duran [2] from our institute in 1999. We specifically direct attention to Figure 9 of that article.
Since 1997 when we began using the technique described, it has reliably led to the correct length of neo-chordae.
