To the Editor
We began to use the inferior epigastric artery after the report by Puig and colleagues in 1990 [1]. Unfortunately we could not mention his many contributions to the evolution of this technique because of editorial constraints on manuscript length and the number of references. Clearly Dr Puig deserves credit for the introduction and ongoing use of this innovative conduit.
