DR JAMES K. KIRKLIN (Birmingham, AL): Did you examine University of Wisconsin solution in any of your pilot studies?
DR KING: No, we have not done that. We believe that the high potassium concentration of intracellular preservation solutions is the single most injurious component to the pulmonary vasculature. We did not use University of Wisconsin solution because it has a high potassium concentration as well.
