There was an error in this article. Formula 1 on 1539, from which the figures in Table 5 were derived, should read as follows:

Ln = -21.055 + 0.093(age) + 0.841(pain) + 1.282(COPD) + 0.643(descending diameter, cm) + 0.405(abdominal diameter, cm),

where pain and COPD = 1 if present and 0 if absent or not reported, and age refers to the time of the most recent scan. Because the error involved only the coefficient for COPD in formula 1, it then follows that formula 2 remains as before:

Probability of rupture within 1 year = 1 – e^-(365).
