The article by Zingone and colleagues [1] is a well-written and interesting retrospective review of a moderately sized Italian cardiac surgery center's results with operations in 355 octogenarians during a 10-year period. Although not particularly original, this article has some strengths, including complete follow-up of all patients and the inclusion of a significant number of high-risk patients in the cohort. . . .
