We thank Dr Tutarel and colleagues [1] for their constructive comments on our report [2].
As noted in our article, the classification scheme that grouped quadricuspid semilunar valves by relative cusp size was that described by Hurwitz and Roberts in 1973 [3]. They found that the most common variation encountered was three cusps of
