I read with great interest the article "Increased Mortality at Low-Volume Orthotopic Heart Transplantation Centers: Should Current Standards Change?" by Weiss and colleagues [1]. The authors conclude that low-volume cardiac transplantation is correlated with increased mortality. No other variables were included in this analysis.
