I congratulate Papadopoulos and colleagues [1] from Frankfurt on their outstanding outcomes for repair of postinfarction ventricular septal rupture. The infarct-exclusion technique was used in the ventricular septal repair of 32 patients, and the hospital mortality was 31.2%.
