We read with interest Vicidomini and colleagues' [1] article on the importance of intraoperative pleural lavage cytology as a prognostic factor in nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This study corroborates the results of previous studies [2, 3] on the topic in identifying positive pleural lavage cytology (PLC) as an independent prognostic factor
