Esophageal fistula formation after pulmonary resection is rare. We present a case of esophagocutaneous fistula 9 years after left pneumonectomy for squamons cell carcinoma of the bronchus. This was confirmed on barium swallow and endoscopy. The fistula was sealed successfully with monomeric n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate tissue adhesive. The simplicity and effectiveness of this method of management is discussed and the multitude of surgical options considered.
