Successful resection of a pulmonary artery leiomyosarcoma was performed in
a patient with clinical features of chronic pulmonary embolism. With
radical radiotherapy to the mediastinum and solitary right hip metastasis,
the patient remained well 6 months later. The difficulty of accurate
diagnosis is considered in the light of recent advances in the techniques
of cardiac investigation.
