A 58-year-old male patient who had a huge false aneurysm as a late sequela
of division of patent ductus arteriosus was surgically managed with
success. It is noteworthy that 24 years had elapsed from the initial
operation until recognition of the aneurysm. The pathogenesis and method of
the surgical treatment are discussed.
