We report an unusual case of invasive thymoma with intracaval growth into
the right atrium. Computed tomography and venacavography demonstrated this
manner of extension of thymoma. The tumor was completely removed by means
of cardiopulmonary bypass after four courses of chemotherapy.
Multidisciplinary treatment for invasive thymoma with this growth pattern
is thought to be useful.
