Coronary ostial reconstruction may be the preferred alternative to
reestablish antegrade myocardial revascularization in patients with
isolated ostial stenosis. The technical steps of reconstruction are
described. The ultrasonic aspirator is a helpful implement in the
dissection of the left main and the proximal right coronary arteries.
Satisfactory results of coronary ostial reconstruction in the current era
seem to fulfill its promise.
