Squamous cell carcinoma arising in a sternotomy scar

The case of a 73-year-old man in whom squamous cell carcinoma developed in
a median sternotomy scar 12 months after coronary artery bypass grafting is
presented. A brief review of the literature is included. The etiology of
scar carcinoma is discussed and an outline of management given.
