Dorsal mass in hyperparathyroidism secondary to chronic renal failure

A 65-year-old man had metastatic calcification forming a huge mass located
on the dorsum. The calcified mass extended into the thoracic cavity and was
removed; the sixth rib was also resected. Diagnosis and treatment are
discussed.
