Reconstruction of chest wall defects is performed by a variety of surgical
procedures. Use of the pectoralis major myodermal flap following a Clagett
procedure appears to be a reliable technique providing satisfactory
results. The application of this technique demands a close interaction
between the plastic surgeon and the thoracic surgeon.
