The case of an infant with intrapericardial benign teratoma, which was
suspected in utero after fetal echocardiography, is reported. This new
approach permitted very early diagnosis and surgical treatment before
cardipulmonary distress appeared. The tumor was excised completely, and the
patient was asymptomatic three months postoperatively.
