Esophageal Intramural Diverticulosis

This paper presents 3 patients with esophageal intramural diverticulosis and discusses the roentgenographic, manometric, histological, and microbiological picture attendant to this disease. Evidence is given to support chronic infection of esophageal submucosal glands as the predominant cause.
